About Delia Jo

Delia Jo Ramsey is the self-proclaimed "queen of queso" and a lifelong "restaurant cheerleader". Oh yeah, she's also a freelance food/travel writer, content creator, restaurant consultant, speaker, and tour guide on all things restaurant-related, most known for her expertise on all things Nashville dining. 

 

Born and raised in rural north Alabama, her passion for restaurants started at a young age when she would name all of the chain restaurant signs while riding down University Drive in Huntsville. She went on to become a "restaurant cheerleader" and was even named "Most Likely To Review Restaurants" in high school. 

 

After starting her career in broadcast journalism, Delia fell in love with the dining scene in Dallas and started her blog, Dining With Delia Jo, in 2009. Since then, she has built her brand and served as the 4-year editor of Eater Nashville before going solo as a freelancer to hone in on Dining With Delia Jo full-time. 

 

Besides thousands of restaurant-related articles on Eater and her personal blog, Delia's food, travel, and lifestyle writing has been published in The Nashvillian, Edible, City Lifestyle, Plano Magazine, Richardson Living Magazine, Prosper Magazine, Celina Magazine, CRAVE DFW, and ILiveInDallas.com. She has also had photos and quotes featured on CW33, Dallas.com, GuideLive, and BestFoodFeed, in addition to dozens of TV appearances and article features for her restaurant prowess on Forbes, The NY Times, Fox News, the Travel Channel, the Cooking Channel, the Food Network, and Netflix "Somebody Feed Phil", where she also served as a boots-on-the-ground consultant for where Phil Rosenthal and his team dined while filming in Nashville. 

 

Delia's love for dining out has led her to consult with Netflix and Somebody Feed Phil on where to eat in Nashville and to appear on national shows as an expert on the Nashville dining scene. She dines out on a daily basis, not only because she really hates cookiung, but also because of her love for the experience and the friendships made around the table. 

 

Delia is excited for her next chapter, which includes speaking gigs, itineraries, social media partnerships, and an expanded byline list for her writing locally and beyond.

 

Delia Jo was named one of the Top 100 Foodie Instagrammers in the US by Zagat, and received one of the first ever prestigious Zagat Foodie Award plaque to back it up. Dining With Delia Jo was also listed by City Lifestyle, 6amCity, and TKTK as a top Nashville food influencer to follow .
