5th Annual Dream Big Gala with Journey to Dream

This fundraiser was a meaningful way to bring together members of the community and spread the word about a problem that's far more prevalent that many of us realize. By working with students affected by depression, pregnancy, drugs, or alcohol, Journey to Dream is fighting to save these teens who so often slip through the cracks.
Today, Journey to Dream serves more than 10,000 students each year. In May, the organization achieved an outstanding milestone – the opening of Kyle's Place, a shelter for homeless youth in Denton County and the only one in the area focusing on kids ages 14-18.
As much as they have accomplished, Journey to Dream co-founder and CEO Kim Hinkle knows "the real work is just beginning." Kyle's Place is part of an ongoing commitment to helping at-risk teens, with hopes of eventually expanding to serve even more students in the area.
