Bistro 31 is a culinary treasure that will make you swoon with its elegant international dishes and European décor.
This Valentine’s Weekend, Executive Chef David Garwacki has created a special menu pairing the romance of the holiday with the signature ambience of the Highland Park eatery.
From Sunday, Feb. 12, through Tuesday, Feb. 14, guests will indulge in a full-bodied menu, featuring:
- Chilled Atlantic Oysters – blood orange mignonette, Ossetra caviar ($18)
- Foie Gras “Au Torchon” – kumquat marmalade, black truffle, brioche pain perdu, frisee aux lardon ($26)
- Pan Roasted Sweet Red Shrimp – Applewood smoked bacon, basil, Fresno chile, petite heirloom tomato, chardonnay butter ($26)
- Potato-Leek Soup – black truffle crème fraiche ($16)
- Lobster Risotto – 1Ž2 Maine lobster, Brussels sprouts leaves, roasted cauliflower, chorizo, grana padano ($42)
- Surf And Turf – butter braised Maine lobster with Espelette pepper and tarragon, roasted prime sirloin with potato puree, Swiss chard, petite carrots, wild mushrooms, and foie gras-truffle jus ($58)
- “Le Bete Noire” Chocolate Cake – raspberry coulis, vanilla gelato ($10)
Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck
Enjoy a romantic dinner while taking in breathtaking panoramic views of the Dallas skyline at Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck. From February 10th through the 14th,, Executive Chef Jacob Williamson will offer a five-course tasting menu featuring the restaurant’s signature Asian-inspired cuisine.
Menu highlights include an Asian pear salad; pan seared Diver scallops with Thai chili sabayon, blood orange, young basil, and crispy leeks; pan seared Alaskan halibut with a miso puree and black fig dashi; grilled Prime New York Strip with ivory sweet potato puree, chanterelle mushrooms, baby arugula, and black garlic jus; and a decadent white chocolate raspberry torte comprised of a pistachio sponge cake, white chocolate mousse and raspberry sorbet.
The menu is priced at $125 per guest, with an optional wine pairing for an additional $35 (tax and gratuity are not included). This special tasting menu will be the only menu available on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. Reservations are required and can be booked by calling (214) 571-5784.

If you share a love for “Elevated Texas Cuisine,” then legendary Texas Chef Stephan Pyles Flora Street Café in the heart of the Dallas’ Arts District is the perfect place for a romantic Valentine’s Day evening. Guests will enjoy a special three-course menu ($125), ($200 with wine pairings) and a special Valentine Day chocolate surprise! Guest will enjoy the flavors of Mole Negro in the Flora Street Café “Patricia” Morita-Praline Chocolate Bar, named after one of Chef Pyles’ mentors, the famous cookbook author and chef from Mexico, Patricia Quintana. The Chocolate is created by award-winning chocolatier Katherine Clapner of Dude, Sweet Chocolate.

Ida Claire
Ida Claire is taking her Southern hostess duties to a whole new level this Valentine’s Day 2017. Ida is playing Cupid by getting her guests into the spirit of the holiday with her very own specialty cocktail – The Cupid 75: gin, strawberry cordial, lemon, Rosatello Sparkling Rosé and rose water rinse. The Cupid 75 will also be available in a Punch Tower, which is great for sharing between 3-5 people.
Ida will be serving something sweet for the sweetest holiday of the year: Bourbon Chocolate Cherry Pie. The butter-flaked crust is brushed with chocolate ganache, brandied cherries, pecan praline pieces, semisweet chocolate mousse and cherry whipped cream, topped with a halved brandied cherry. Both of these specials will be available from Friday, Feb. 10, through Tuesday, Feb. 14.
Main Street Bistro & Bakery Grapevine
Love is in the air and the special place to celebrate is at Main Street Bistro & Bakery in Historic Downtown Grapevine. The bistro, in their Chez Fabien concept, will offer a special four-course dinner served on Tuesday, February 14, starting at 5 p.m. In addition, live acoustic music will be providing entertainment until 11 p.m.
The flavorful menu starts with Amuse Bouche de Chef. The second course is a choice between Lobster Bisque, Duck Confit and Endive Salad or King Crab and Curry Crêpes. Entrée choices include Steak and Lobster, Spiced Pork Lamb Rack or Seabass and Caviar. The Dessert du Chef will be a chocolate truffle heart. Dinner is $85 per person and reservations are suggested. A special champagne menu is available for an additional charge.
Celebrating early this year? A special three-course menu will also be available on Friday, February 10 and Saturday, February 11. That menu features a three-course meal, starting with the Duck Confit and Endive Salad. Entrée choices include the Seabass or the Spiced Pork Lamb Rack. The Chocolate Heart dessert completes the dining experience. This dinner is $75 per person. The bistro/bakery is located at 316 S. Main St. in Historic Downtown Grapevine.
Mexican Sugar
Make plans now to bring your “suga” to Mexican Sugar Cocina y Cantina for the sweetest holiday of the year. From Sunday, Feb. 12, through Tuesday, Feb. 14, the popular Plano restaurant will offer a special Valentine’s Day Couples Feature that includes a mini charcuterie board for two paired with two glasses of sparkling rosé, for just $12.

Mi Dia from Scratch
In honor of Valentine’s Day 2017, Mi Dia From Scratch will be introducing a pairing menu featuring fresh and vibrant food and margarita pairings hand-selected by Chef Gabriel DeLeon. On Tuesday, February 14, 2017 the pairing menu will include three entrée options highlighted by expertly crafted margaritas. Each pairing will pay homage to the different milestones of DeLeon’s culinary career, influenced by Mexico City, Santa Fe and Tex-Mex cuisines. (The full menu will also be available.)
In addition to the special pairing menu, Mi Dia From Scratch will be offering a dessert cocktail influenced by Cupid’s holiday, the “Dulce Strawberry Rose.” This cocktail will be available for $12 and features Homemade Strawberry Infused Patron X.O. Dark Cocoa Liqueur, Tequila Rose Cream Liqueur, Patron Roca Anejo and Homemade Dulce de Leche Ice Cream.
